Katie & Michael's Boatshed Wedding - Peter Edwards Photography

boatshed-Restaurant-1 With Katie and Michael’s wedding ceremony being held in the Wesley Chapel in South Perth, having their reception at the Boatshed Restaurant was the obvious choice. It’s just a short, downhill stroll to the Boatshed Restaurant on the Swan River with views to the city, which become even more magic as the sunsets. Michael arrived in Perth from Ireland a few years ago and so family and friends from overseas came to Perth for their wedding day. This is the perfect location for a Boatshed wedding, and for overseas visitors to enjoy Perth City. Keeping everything local, Katie and the bridal party booked into the Pagoda in South Perth the night prior to the wedding. When we arrived on the morning of the wedding Katie was having the finishing touches done to her makeup by Jasmine Lee. Katie’s hair had been styled by Vanessa. Her mum soon arrived to help Katie get into her bridal gown, and wow, it fitted like a glove and Katie looked amazing! Meanwhile Michael got ready in the company of his parents and brother, so we captured some lovely images of the family together preparing for the wedding day ahead. After the ceremony and family photos at Wesley College we travelled to the South Perth foreshore for the bridal party photos. The bridal party was great company and made the afternoon a lot of fun. We captured wonderful wedding photos amongst the paper-barks and along the river’s edge. The bridal party made a great entrance to the reception and set the tone for a night of fun. Michael and Katie both opted to give their speeches at the beginning of the evening. Both of which were thoroughly entertaining and had everyone doubled over with laughter. Before the night ended Katie and Michael popped outside to have a few photos taken along the river with the city lights as their backdrop. We left them on the dance floor among their guests; they were having the time of their lives.
