mulberry on swan 1jpg From the moment we met Megan and Paul at the pre-wedding session we knew we were in for a fabulous wedding day, full of love and laughter at Mulberry on Swan. And we were certainly right! But to start at the beginning. Through out the ceremony stories began emerging about how the romance between Megan and Paul started. Paul joined the staff as a “prac teacher” at the Geraldton school where Megan was teaching. He caught the eye of many of the female staff, but at that time not Megan! It took a few social occasions and then a push by friend to get them together. Apparently everyone else was aware of the “chemistry” before they were. The friend arranged a day trip to Kalbarri for a group, but of course at the last minute everyone else pulled out and Megan and Paul were left to go it alone. And as they say “the rest is history”! We started the day with Paul, his family and groomsmen at his parent’s home. As usual the guys were in great form and ready to give the groom plenty of curry to get him over the wedding day nerves. Paul wore a Kanat suit from Myer and his shoes were Julius Marlow. Meanwhile Megan, her family and the bridesmaids got ready at Ascot Quays. Megan bought her wedding gown and bridal shoes in London while holidaying with Paul a few months earlier. The girls’ dresses were from Bridal Affair. Sarah from Sarah Louise was the make up artist on the day and the hair was styled by Bespoke Hair. Megan and Paul purchased the engagement and wedding rings form Solid Gold Diamonds. Gum Blossom Cottage created the fabulous bridal bouquets. The wedding ceremony and reception were held at Mulberry on Swan. The ceremony setting on the banks of the river and surrounded by paper-barks was perfectly serene. As a nice touch and reference to her farming background Megan had placed vases of Geraldton wax flowers down the edge of the isle. The farming theme also run through the wedding photos. We used cottage buildings and historic home-sites as well as the wide, open spaces around Mulberry on Swan at sunset. As we anticipated the reception was a raging success, with dancing and our ”photo Studio” being a great hit.
