perth wedding photos 1Living in Jurien Bay and having friends and family scattered through the WA countryside, Tania and Gary chose to have a destination wedding. This was a great idea, as not seeing  friends and family as often as they would like, the destination wedding made for a great holiday for all the wedding guests. An added bonus was Tania and Gary having time, other than just the reception, to relax and chat with everyone. The wedding location they chose was Mandurah Quay Resort. Having taught in the area Tania’s teaching friend offered her house to Tania, her parents and bridesmaids as their “getting ready” location. And this is where we met with Tania to get some gorgeous bridal photographs. An old friend from Tania’s school days in Pemberton came over to style the girls’ hair. The makeup artists from Josephine’s in Pinjarrah did the makeup. Keeping with the theme of supporting rural WA, Tania chose her wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses from Blue Cherry in Mandurah. Gary and the fellas got ready in their apartment at Mandurah Quay Resort, taking it easy in the morning and were looking relaxed when we met with them for a few  photos, prior to the wedding ceremony. Tania arrived for the ceremony in a car from Belle Classic. Gary and the guests were waiting near the waters edge at Mandurah Quay Resort. They were married under the trees in a peaceful area overlooking the water and the boats. After congratulations and family photos we took Tania and Gary to a park setting by the river for the bridal party shoot. They got a great mix of wedding photos in the bush, along the river as well as some sunset photographs. We stayed at the reception to photograph some of the fabulous candid moments that the speeches, dancing and mingling throw up. The room looked amazing. Once again Tania took advantage of the creative talent close to her. Tania’s sister Megan styled the reception table pieces and all hands were on board for setting up the room the day before. Her friend Bec made the wedding cake. A nice touch was placing little pots of succulents for the female guests to take home. What a great idea for a bomboniere.
