Well I’d have to say that Amy certainly wins gold for “The Most Unique Wedding Dress”. Amy came across designer Linda Leigh Davis by accident on Face Book and knew instantly she needn’t look any further. The quirky vintage style matched her gorgeous personality perfectly. And her shoes were just as impressive, being found at the Polka Dot Markets, the perfect accessory for her dress. Amy had her friends Hayley and Melanie do her hair and makeup and her bouquets were by Rose and Ribbon. The wedding was truly a family affair with the natural skills of many being put to good use to make Amy and Richard’s home wedding day especially memorable. The ceremony and reception were held at Amy and Richard’s home, so Amy moved out for the day and she and the girls got ready not far away at Richard’s parents home. After we’d captured shots of Amy and the girls we headed to Amy and Richard’s home where the boys were preparing and the place was a hive of industry. The back yard had been transformed to a home wedding venue and the front yard to a home wedding ceremony venue. The kitchen was full of people and food! Amy’s dad made an arbour under which Amy and Richard stood during the ceremony. The home wedding ceremony was relaxed and the history of Amy and Richard’s romance was told from it’s beginnings at “leavers vacation” when they were in their teen years, right up to their engagement and wedding day. With their home being in the foothills the Zig-Zag in Kalamunda is a favourite spot for Amy and Richard, hence that’s where we headed with the bridal party for the wedding photos. Once the sun had set over the city Amy, Richard and the bridal party headed down the hill to join their family and friends for a night of celebration at there home.
