Anna and Brian had the quintessential classic wedding, from Anna’s bridal gown to the garden setting for the ceremony, to the Boatshed Restaurant on the Swan River for their wedding reception. It was just perfect!
We started the day with the Brian, his groom’s men as well as his family visiting from Switzerland who was intrigued to see us arrive at the groom’s home and pay attention to the details of the day.
In contrast to Brian’s home where the boys were taking it easy, Anna’s home was full of activity with 5 brides maids, a flower girl as well as Anna and her mum having their hair and makeup done. The team from High Maintenance was certainly kept busy. A very special touch was a pouch made by Anna’s mum, from Anna’s grandmother’s wedding veil. It carried her grandmother’s and grandfather’s wedding rings and was tied with a blue ribbon. A very special keepsake. Anna found her wedding gown at Bridal Affair in Oxford Street, her shoes from Georgie’s Shoes and the bouquets from Just Fake It.
The cool leafy green gardens of Harold Boas Park were the classic wedding setting for the ceremony. Shaded with magnificent Tipuana trees, the sound of trickling water from the rockery and beautiful light filtering through Anna’s veil, it was picture perfect and the ideal location for a summer wedding.
We really didn’t need to move far for the wedding photos with Brian and Anna very happy to stay in the cool surrounds of Harold Boas Gardens for most of the shoot. On the way to the reception at the Boatshed Restaurant in South Perth we did stop off in the city for a couple of contrasting wedding photos.
Once at the Boatshed Restaurant Anna and Brian joined the guests for the celebration. DJ Scotty made sure his music had everyone up on the dance floor. Once the sun was setting we heading out along the river’s edge and the jetty for a final few shots just to capture the wonderful setting over looking the river to Perth’s city lights.
