What a joyous and fun Brookleigh wedding! Sarah and Damian were not with out a smile for the whole day we were with them for their wedding at Brookleigh Estate. Brookleigh is situated in the Upper Swan District of Perth.

Both being into fitness and running it wasn’t surprising to learn they met at a running group. It was surprising to see Sarah in heels, I half expected her to arrive wearing joggers.

Sarah and Damian took over Brookleigh for the weekend, arriving the day before the wedding and staying the night of their wedding there as well. At Brookleigh you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to accommodation, so there was plenty of options for their families and bridal party to join them for the weekend of celebration.

Sarah and the girls prepared for the day in the Lake Side apartment while Damian and the boys hung out in the Gatehouse Cottage. It was then just a short stroll to the gazebo by the lakes edge for their wedding ceremony. Wedding celebrant Nina Guelfi conducted the ceremony. Nina instantly put everyone at ease and made the ceremony a relaxed and fun experience without detracting from the significance of such a momentous occasion for Sarah and Damian.

Each and every person invited to celebrate the day with Sarah and Damian, was a significant part of their lives. Hence plenty of time was put aside to make sure we captured photos of everyone, whether in big groups of friends or individually.

Brookleigh Estate is a photographers delight and we made good use of the many locations in the grounds capturing the tree-lined tracks, the lakeside apartment, the lake and a magnificent sunset.

The bridal party and parents danced their way into the reception setting the tone for a night of fun at Stuart’s Restaurant, which is nestled in the grounds of Brookleigh Estate. All the speeches, without exception were heartfelt with just the right amount of humour to keep a smile on everyone’s face.
